In the exceptionally competing world of overnight delivery, receiving it tomorrow isn’t the same as having it today

Most would agree, delivery is the one major aspect of Amazon’s business that it does not control. In its quest to provide a better service, Amazon.com Inc. launched free same-day delivery for Prime members in most metropolitan areas.

Same-Day delivery is accessible in the following cities and their surrounding metro areas: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas / Ft. Worth, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, New York City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle / Tacoma, Tampa Bay Area and Washington, D.C. Last year, Amazon.com Inc. also started one-hour deliveries with bike messengers in New York.

And if Amazon wasn’t enough, the on demand transportation company Uber has also launched their own courier services to deliver packages.  UberRush just finished its pilot testing in New York City.  The program has expanded to metro areas of San Francisco and Chicago. Sources say that the price of delivery will range from $5 to $7.

UberRUSH delivers faster than you can imagine.
For less than you’ll believe.”
